Injuries and Illnesses: A Jonas Family Story~Chapter 6 Video

recap: Joe is "sick", Kevin is getting everyone else ready for school, Everyone is depressed about Granny J's death!

Kevins POV
I walked down the stairs and got the lunches ready. I packed Nick and Lexi sandwiches, and I gave Dani money to buy lunch. They all got on their buses and went to school. I was worried about Joe. I knew he wasn't really sick, but he was so depressed. I was worried he was gunna do something to himself...like cutting. I silently entered his room, which was all dark except for beams of light shining through the cracks in the window blinds, and walked over to the bed. He was sleeping. I walked back down the stairs and called my girlfriend, Molly.

"Hey Molly!" I exclaimed as she answered the phone.
"Oh hey Kev! Wassup?" she greeted.
"Nothing much. Joe is faking sick I think. He is really depressed and I'm not quite sure why." I said, carefully choosing my words to not inform her about my grandmother.
"You should take him to therapy," she suggested, "It's best for his health when he is deep within this stage of life."
"Wow, that was deep," I stated, sounding quite stupid.
"Yeah...Im really into this whole phsycology thing now," she announced, proud of her new interest.
"Oh, maybe you can talk to Joe then," I suggested, hoping she would accept.
"Yeah, I'll come right over. Anything for poor little Joe," she said, hanging up her phone.

She came over later that day, and she talked to Joe.
"Joseph, can I come in?" She questioned, already entering the room.
"NO! Leave me alone to die!" Joe exclaimed, hiding himself in his bathroom.
"Joe! Don't talk like that! Tell me what happened. I won't tell anyone anything. Everything said in this room, stays in his room. I promise that to you," Molly reassured. Joe emerged from the bathroom, looking horrible. His hair was a hopeless mess, he was in sweats, and his eyes has deep purple circles underneath. His face was a shade of pale white and his eyes were bloodshot.
"I j-just m-miss her," Joe choked out, tears welling in his eyes. He broke down into a sob, and Molly was clueless about the whole situation.
"What happened?" Molly asked, confused. She had no idea about Grandma Jonas dying the previous afternoon.
"I miss her Molly!! I want want granny back!! Why did she have to leave us?" Joe sobbed, barely having time for breathing anymore.
"I have a strange feeling that Kevin didn't tell me everything," Molly stated, suspicious. She dashed down the staircase and found Kevin.

"Paul Kevin Jonas Jr!! What happened to your grandma! Tell me everything NOW!" Molly yelled infuriated.
"She died yesterday. Joe didn't take it well, and now he sunk to a deep depression." I flatly stated, answering her preious question.
"Im so sorry Kev. I didn't know. I think you need to go talk to your brother about this. Im gunna go, but before I do I want you to know that when you are sitting down here, Joe is trying to kill himself upstairs," Molly said, a slight hint of anger in her voice, and she walked out the door and drove away.

I walked up to Joe's room and talked to him for a while. He cried and cried until he felt slightly better about the situation. He still looked terrible though, so I could tell that he was actually coming down with something. He fell asleep nest to me on the couch, so I carried him to his bedroom and tucked him into bed. I kissed his forehead like Mom would do when he was younger, and flicked off the lights.

The next morning all school was cancelled. I wasn't sure why, but it was. The kids were happy. We sat around all day and watched television, but then we came up with something to do.
"Can we go to the park Kevin?" Dani asked, "We haven't been there in forever! Like since I was a little kid!"
"Yeah! That sounds like fun! I'll go put on some shoes!" Nick exclaimed, excited that we were having a family day.
"Do I have to go? I dun feel too well today." Joe complained as he broke out into a coughing fit.
"No you don't have to if you don't feel good Joe. I'll just call Andee to watch you," I declared.
"Alright. Im gunna go sleep. Bye!" Joe said as he walked out of the room.

I called Andee and she gladly accepted the duty of watching Joseph, and we headed out to the park. We hung around there for a while until we got bored, and then we went out for some icecream. We finally arrived home after a day filled with excitement, and we crashed immediantly. We all went up to bed, and slept like a baby throughout the entire night.
