The country has to recognize it needs it, then work, fight and struggle to get it, then its appreciated. Is the price of 100s of thousands of Iraqi lives and untold 1000s of Americans(we dont yet know the effect of the war on our vets-look at the suicide rate) worth this glimmer of hope. And now we have a near bankrupt economy, with a limited means to fight the next threat.

TripBoomLikeThat: I used to listen to him in the 90s. Back then he admitted he was a harmless entertainer - he was really just saying things he thought his listeners wanted to hear. He is a pretty smart guy there is no way he could believe the nonsense he says. Now he takes himself too seriously. It's funny how so many people are hanging on his words thinking he speaks for them. u0455294: Rush Limbaugh can be a little off putting, but his ideas are very important ones. I was listening to his speech I was thinking to myself he's hitting a lot of the same economic theory points that I have been studying recently. He is almost saying the same important things that Milton Friedman was saying about thirty years ago, that are still as important today as they were back then. He has an edgier tact and a bit of a mean streak but the ideas are extremely important.

u0455294: As a recently reformed liberal, through my readings of the great economists of our time I have started to realize that the Republicans were right about everything. Not only about the rights of people to their money and the infinite possiblities of wealth creation, but also about more fundamental ideas like that I have no moral right to be charitable with someone else's money. If a conservative is a vegetarian, they don't eat meat. If a liberal is, they want to ban all meat products for everyone.
