ohmartinbronson: You don't consider "this tap dude" to be a jazz musician? Tap dancers at an advanced level absolutely are jazz musicians, percussionists... Mr Grimes here is definitely an authority when it comes to this. As an aside, you cannot separate the history of jazz music and tap dancing. Two uniquely American artforms that evolved at the same time, and drew so much from each other. Please don't be so closed minded before you post something that is disrespectful to multiple art forms.

jazzgent: You make many assumptions in my post about me. Please do not be disrespectful to me and others. I would ask you to open your mind to the fact that tappers are not jazz musicians. They are tappers. Jazz musicians are jazz musicians. Nobody is trying to separate anyone. You are just looking for an opportunity to lecture. Please do not be disrespectful.
RLFosse: I disagree! Jarrod is a tap dancer/musician. His work is on the level of the artists he shares the stage with or they wouldn't want to share the stage with him!
