Oh, mighty thank you Bong Pross Pkving for the words of encouragement. I accepted it. hahahhahaha!!! Thank you for taking your precious time to listen to my singing as well. :))))
pkving: champamalai dear, you're welcome. just 4 confirmation, i was sincere when i said you're better than any modern professional cambodian female singer whose song i've heard.
ChampaMalai: Oh wow! thank you bong pross pkving. And how many modern professional cambodian female singer have you heard from bong pross? Like one.... that is Jaena? hehehe!! just kidding bong pross, because from what I know, you only listen to khmer oldies such as Sinn Sisamouth, Ros Serey Sothea and so on. Really mean alot hearing from you as well bong pross. Mighty thanks for your support. :)))))
pkving: champamalai pho-oun srey, yeah yeah borng pros listen 2 oldies, mostly samouth, sothea, & pen ron. but borng pros also sometimes listen 2 modern singers. however borng pros rarely post an opinion on modern singers. that's why borng pros aint appear 2 listen 2 moden singers, d'ohh!! you're welcome. it's borng pros's pleasure.
Jupitroid: Beautiful! I love your voice! Will you make some more singing videos? Please? Oh, now I recognize those flowers, they're also called "frangipani." Lovely voice, lovely flowers, lovely video. Thanks!
ChampaMalai: Thank you Jupitroid. I would if I have better equipments. Otherwise, it will sound sloppy like this one. Noises scattered all over. I'm saving up money to buy better mic. You seem so good at recognizing the quality of musical equipments. Guess what kind of mic I used for this one and all of my singings so far? I meant the quality wise. I don't think you will ever guess it right. :))))))
Jupitroid: I don't know, Radio Shack? Um, PlaySchool? If you can get a Shure SM-57, their great and about $65.
ChampaMalai: I don't know the brand, but I got it at Walmart for $9.99 hahhha!!! But, it doesn't sound to bad huh Jupitroid. Well, it's messy hearing, but overall it isn't too bad right?
Jupitroid: Haha! I got one at WalMart for the same price! Yeah, it wasn't too bad! It wasn't great, but it sounded OK. Mine broke after a month so I couldn't return it. Yeah, I can hear the bass tones in your voice. It sounds fine! A lot of people think that they need the latest and greatest stuff, but sometimes the less expensive things work fine. What kind of karaoke machine do you have?
Jupitroid: Bass is good! You know, the low notes. A lot of cheap mikes don't get the low notes. That mike you have sounds pretty good. A Shure SM57 sounds like a $300 mike but only costs $65. If you're saving money for a mike, that would be a good one. Pioneer Karaoke- yeah Pioneer was a good company 20 years ago. Their stuff is cheap now. I guess computers can do everything now that that machine could do.
ChampaMalai: I see. I remember now, I used to sing karaoke at friends' house a few years ago. They said that I have a natural bass when I sing and that I don't really need special mixer or enhancement equips to help with my voice. Could they mean that same bass sound you're talking about Jupitroid? I'll look into that Shure SM57 next time.
Jupitroid: Yeah, that's it. I like your high notes, too. Musical notes are kinda strange. If you hit a key on a piano you are actually playing many notes. One note has lower and higher notes inside of it that you can't hear very well, but they make the note that you hear sound better. A cheap microphone won't pick up the full sound of any note.
ChampaMalai: I see. NOT. :))) don't really understand what you are talking about, but okay. I got ya. hehehehe!! Oh btw, did I hit the note? Am I sing many notes....whatever that means, but it sounds like I can sing or sing it correctly if I can hit the note. I don't know anything about music Jupitroid. All I know is just sing sing and sing some more when I like the song. That is sing my heart out the way I feel and understand it.
Jupitroid: You have a great natural talent! I wish I could sing like you. I'm sorry that I was talking like an audio nerd! Haha! I'm glad that you don't use software to make your voice "better." Please don't ever use special equipment to enhance your voice. Your voice is naturally beautiful. (oh, reverb is OK, I like reverb :))))
ChampaMalai: Now, you really sound like a nerd in general, not just audio nerd. What do you mean by reverb? I'm so lost with what you said to me lately. ;)))))
Jupitroid: Well, at first I was talking about sound waves. Cheap microphones don't pick up everything in them. That's all I was saying. You don't know what reverb is? Girl! It's the echo sound that a karaoke machine adds to a singer's voice. It makes you sound like you are singing in a large room. Reverb is used in a lot of classic Khmer music. Doesn't your machine have a button or knob on it that says "reverb"?
ChampaMalai: My machine has echo knob not reverb. that is why I don't know anything. hehhhe! okay take it back you're not nerd, it is just me being inexperience. hehehhe!!! thanks for explaining to me. I told you, I don't know anything about music. All I know is sing and sing. I don't even know how to sing that well too. hahhaha!!!
Jupitroid: It's OK, I love talking about music. Reverb is very cool. They started putting it in amplifiers in the 1960s. Those old amplifiers have a super sweet reverb sound. It's like an echo, but extra nice.
jendhamuni: Champa Malai, You have a very beautiful voice. I really mean it.
ChampaMalai: Thank you Jendhamuni. It means alot coming from you. I trust your taste in music. ;))))))) I'm so motivated now to post more of my singings. So, stay tuned for more okay Jendhamuni. Thanks for your big time support. ;))))))
BophaAngkor: I agree with you Jendhamuni!
BophaAngkor: And you have one more fan, Jaena.
