Are we better off today, July 4th 2009 or have we regressed back in time? 233 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, are we all caught in the stranglehold of "more taxation and less representation"?
Our forefathers realized there was a time to quit complaining, griping, and bitching - and they put their blood on the line for us. Slowly, but surely, haven't we crept backward and allowed government to once again take control of all aspect of our lives?
What then, are we actually celebrating today?
