BNSF RaceTrack Action At Congress Park Station, Brookfield, IL. 11-5-09. Video

Another day on the Chicago Subdivision.

9:11AM-
Metra 1260 is running about 5 minutes late today.
Cab Car #8575
F40PHM-2 #197

9:16AM-
Contrasting power leads a Chicago bound Z-train. The new GEVO makes the older Fakebonnet Dash-9 look like an ALCO, emissions wise.
BNSF ES44C4 #6604
BNSF C44-9W #711

9:21AM-
Metra 1227 smokes it up as it approaches Congress Park Station.
F40PHM-2 #213

9:34AM-
A loaded unit coal drag heads for the BRC in Chicago.
BNSF ES44AC #6082
BNSF SD70MAC #8982

9:56AM-
Nice to see an old Grinstien on the point today, and as a DPU.
BNSF SD70MAC #9678
BNSF SD70ACe #9338
BNSF SD70MAC #9764

10:10AM-
Amtrak 380, the Inbound Illinois Zephyr throttles up after stopping at LaGrange Station.
P42DC #182

10:12AM-
Right on 383's tail, Metra 1262 also gains more speed for Chicago.
Cab Car #8536
MP36PH-3 #403

10:20AM-
As usual, the M-GALCHC has only a few cars for Cicero.
BNSF ES44DC #7297
BNSF C44-9W #4783

10:29AM-
Another "Big Mac" found it's way onto the point of a coal train.
BNSF SD70MAC #8912
BNSF SD70ACe #9358
BNSF AC4400CW #5731

11:00AM-
Metra 1229 slows as it Approaches LaGrange.
MP36PH-3 #405

11:13AM-
Metra 1264 and the wind nearly blew my tri-pod over!
Cab Car #8577
F40PHM-2 #213

12:18AM-
I think the bees got revenge after I burned them at Thorton Junction by flying in front of my camera just as a Westbound coal drag was going by. Not only is that weird, but I also caught this train going East at Hick Tower two days ago, when it was loaded.

LocalRailfan: Great video as usual Frank
brickbuilder711: Awesome video as usual, Frank!
railfanstreator94: Great video Frank ! I can tell you one thing for sure that M-GalCHC was for sure way overpowered with that ES44DC and the Dash 9 and having only a gondola, a tank car and boxcar.
amtrak939: great shots!
JgordonAmtrak1: Great vid, now thats alot of action freight and passenger, I would love to be their.
mt90945557: 4:21 Now how the hell am I unable to see a coal train led by an exec. unit????
GregInCalifornia: Great collection, Frank!
spacecalander: nice filming frank, nice spot too!
SFLRailFan: Great video, Frank. ;-)
SFLRailFan: I really wish Tri-Rail platforms were as open as Metra's, don't you, Tolga?
bitterman112: Great Footage!
SantaFe5811: Top videos as always Frank!! I'm looking forward to coming to this part of the world to see it for myself! BTW: the coal train at 10:29AM had a ES44AC as the DPU. I believe it was one of the first lots of 30 'pre-production' units from 2003.
Railrodder: This was great! But I have questions! Were most of these trains pretty closeto each other? The shadows seem to not change much. Were you taking pictures too? I thought I heard shutter action! What is that track on the otherside of the fence for?
BoxcarFrank: Thanks! I guess timewise, they run pretty close. Yes I take pictures as well. The track you speak of is a connector to the IHB Mainline. It passes under the Racetrack at LaGrange. Theres one North of the BNSF tracks too.
CPManJoe: Great video Frank! You had some pretty sweet lighting there.
mygirl22ward: You ready for winter shots on the race track!? I will be tuning in... Get it done...
BoxcarFrank: You bet man!
