Restoring an ISO image of your operating system [Part 2] Video
Learn how to restore from an ISO image that you took in Part 1 of my video!
Pwnsfreaks: There is no problem to save it on one of my harddisk's right? Example D?
rtbuell2004: Yup. As long as it is not on the same drive as your windows install, you can make your back up to any drive... external hard drive, internal hard drive on a separate partition from windows, and or a USB if you wanted.
d3f4c3d: does it work over tcp/ip ?
rtbuell2004: I don't think it does. I didn't see an option for grabbing your backup over the network, only from an external/internal hard drive. I could be wrong, honestly I didn't look very hard.
kevincobain2000: GOOD ONE MATE,,, I ADDED THIS VIDEO AS A FAV AND FOLLOWED the steps watching it on my iphone..Thanks mate
robertisjay: instead of puting the snap shot on a harddrive can i burn it on a cd ?
rtbuell2004: Yes, you can, but you need to upgrade the free version (which costs money). Also, just to warn you, depending on the size of your iso you might need a bunch of dvds or cds to do this. If you have a dvd burner I recommend using dvds to cut down on the discs needed (compared to using cds). Good luck.
ceventus: Can anyone tell me how to create a full system back up in case my hard drive fails or if I chose to buy a bigger hard drive. I would like to know how to create a disk that I can install my OS onto a new HD. I only have a restore disc and I know from experience it will not run on a new HD. The idea of buying a new OS and installing everything again turns my stomach.
