Tropical Storm Ida - Part 1 Video
Tropical Storm Ida hit Mobile, AL the night of Monday November 9, 2009. The storm approached the area with 70 MPH winds, after being a category 2 hurricane with winds of 105 MPH the day before. This storm was an extremely unusual event for so being so late in the season.
I took this video leaving my dorm to go to the JagTran (campus bus transportation system) stop. I was trying to get to the student center to take more video down there -- but the bus never showed up so I just decided to walk, instead.
BTW -- At the beginning of the video I said something about the mating call of a hurricane hunter...some idiot was howling at the other end of our building and I wasn't sure if it came out on the video or not, so I made a joke about it. It flopped...just ignore it.
NUBIANKNUTS2U: Such dedication to report on severe weather approaching clearly shows why u are called the "WEATHER DUDE. "
