KentAllard: another feedback would be the increasing flow of water into the North Atlantic from melting ice caps in Greenland & increased flow from Siberian rivers, decreasing the level of salinity, increasing deep ocean temperatures, slowing down the north atlantic drift of the gulf stream, potentially shutting down thermohaline circulation. What would that do? Well the last time it happened it resulted in an ice age.

KentAllard: although thats the absolutely worst case scenario. More likely would be, in Western Europe, a major sudden drop in temperatures-perhaps 8 degrees; oceanic anoxic event; etc - so if you rely on crops or fish for food or income you'll be in trouble. Not to mention the storms and floods.
