Jigsaw New Ball Python ~ A Few Bathtime Photos Video
Just a few photos I took of Jigsaw while he was taking his bath.
This is Jigsaw my new normal 100 percent het for albino I received from Shannon at SD Reptiles. Jigsaw is a very shy boy so I am trying to work with him. I offered him a live rat yesterday, but he was still not interested in eating. So last night I spent about an hour with him letting him exercise and then I gave him a bath which he LOVED!! I held him all wrapped up in a towel afterwards and rocked him in my rocking chair. (Amber loves to rock so I thought he might like it too.) I am hoping the one-on-one attention and lots of exercise will increase his appetite and decrease his shyness.
Jigsaw was born in 2007 and is a very solid chunky boy. I have not weighed him yet, but he is definitely heavier than Amber our other 2007 BP and she weighs almost 1100 grams.
I currently have him in a 40 gallon breeder on eco earth substrate. I may move him to a 41 quart sterilite tub. I am thinking he may feel more comfortable in a tub - more confined and private. What do you guys think? He was kept in a rack system set-up prior to being shipped to me. I am open to suggestions. I just want this guy to be happy and content and comfortable. AND being a mom, I just can't stand it when my "kids" don't eat! =D
