Courage {One Shot} Video

For a contest! :D for one of my favorite writers.
WARNING: Strange couple. Bewaree:D

She enters the cafeteria, avoiding the people running by and throwing food. She sits at her usual table, the one next to the trash can. She's learned to duck and move whenever an item aiming to land in the garbage comes her way. Although she's been hit quite a few times.

Today she has her hair in a messy bun. She's wearing her usual wardrobe,except for one thing. My eyes go straight to her barren neck, which is usually occupied by a beautiful necklace, one with a silver chain and a tiny little heart in the middle. She seems lost without it. I want to go over there and ask her where it went. I want to go over there and sit with her. I want to go over there and tell her I love her.

But just like every day, I don't.

My name is Zac Efron ,and I have been hopelessly and utterly in love with Selena Gomez for 3 years. Everyday I walk into the cafeteria, and my heart breaks a little more, when I see that she's sitting there, alone, and worse, that i'm not there with her. Every morning I wake up, telling myself, today will be the day that I will get the courage to walk over to her and have lunch with her. And every day, I pass by her table without a single glance.

So today, as usual, I stare straight ahead at her, watching her every move, the way she picks up her fork, looks at it, takes a bite of her food, and puts it back down. The way she tilts her head in curiosity when the lunch lady is serving meatloaf again. The way that her eyes sparkle when she's looking at her drawings.

See, she's an artist. She likes drawing ladybug's the most, I don't really know why. That's another thing I want to ask her, when I go sit with her. But I think she's amazing at anything she draws. I've seen her work quite a few times, when I pass by her in Study Hall, or when I sit across from her in History. When she's looking down, her bangs slide onto her face. I want to be the one to brush them away. I want to be the one to hold her in my arms. And I just don't understand how I'm the only one.

"What are you staring at?" Joe asks me.

"Huh? Not much." I reply absentmindedly. I turn back to my friends, and they continue their conversation.

I steal one more glance at Selena, and try to convince myself, as I do everyday, tomorrow will be the day I will get the courage.

xxwriter53xx: It was really good! You know, I understand the deeper meaning, and the way you described things, I feel like you've given me 3 long chapters, not a few paragraphs. You got the point of the story out, and that's good! :] The only thing I would have done was I would have written the ending like this; Stealing on more glance at Selena, I promise myself, like I do everyday, that tomorrow will be the day I will have the courage.
