Highlights from the leaked screens and info mentioned on the forum reveal a HUD that Morello says lists out things such as teammate names and player perks like cloak, sprint, and hologram. Morello claims that the photos were taken from inside of an office at Microsoft Headquarters, adding that his initial reasoning for snapping a few pics was to share the existence of a new Battle Rifle with the MLG community.

The biggest question that still remains, in my opinion, is whether or not this game will feature the return of Master Chief as a playable character. As you can see in the image below, it does appear that the hand shown topside up does have similar plated armor to that of Master Chief. Of course it could just be a random Spartan. If thats the case, you can thank the Bungie writers and their self serving need for varied character development.

SundayKilgannon: My biggest problem with this: The game is set in the past. Before Halo 1. it makes absolutely no sense for there to be new UNSC, or even covenant issued weapons. Which is one, amongst other reasons, i think it's likely these are fakes. I mean, look at the battle rifle and covenant weapon. Really? those are a tad bit ridiculous.

phoenox23: Marine Snipers place the scopes of their rifles like that for more visibility when looking through the scope and for less eye strain.

merkonerko2: I think it makes some sense to introduce new weapons, since this game takes place before any of the others, players have a chance to use weapons that probably were phased out, like a prototype for the BR, or some other old covenant weapons.

DiegoTheDoogle: yup and in the preview the new one the guy getting off the plane thingy has a br that looks different opposed to the halo 3 br example 1 smaller scope
