coachlonster: The first two Strokes albums were brilliant. Their last album had a few good songs, but was mostly forgetable. If the first Strokes first album sounded like the Phrases For The Young CD, their simply wouldn't have been a second album. The only reason people will buy this mediocre album is because Casablancas has an established fan base. I hope he's gotten all the wimpy songs out of his system so the next Strokes album can be great.

roofy85: haha either you have the albums out of order or you are completely wrong. the last strokes album, first impressions of earth, was a solid album throughout. Room on fire cannot be said the same for whereas the first was the best. and concerning this album its far better than most albums released these days. It is fairly strong with the only exceptions being Ludlow St and 4 Chords of the Apocalypse

coachlonster: I don't have them out of order. ITI was a master piece. ROF was great but not as good as the first. Their last album in my opinion was ok but not as good as the second. Sadly you are correct in saying this solo album is better than most modern music.
