I heard my name so I turned around to see who had said it. There was a little girl standing in the opening looking at me. She was holding a doll in her hands and she was studying my face. She looked so familar. She looked alot like... Annie. All my attention was on the little girl who was staring back at me. I didnt even realize that Nick and Joe had stopped fighting. Kevin walks over to the little girl and picks her up. "Scarlett, I told you to stay in the house." Scarlett..... that must be the guys' little sister. She keeps staring at me and without realizing what Im doing, I start walking closer to her. Everyone is completly silent as they look at me and then at Scarlett. Scarlett reaches her hand out towards me and I press my hand against hers. "...Annie...?"
The little girl smiles and throws her arms around my neck. "I knew you would find me Jessie! I just knew it!" I hold Annie close and tears start pouring down my face. "Oh god Annie... I thought... you were gone forever...I thought I was never going to see you again. Im so sorry... I should have looked in the alley to see if you were still there. I just... couldnt make myself look back there...." Annie pulls away and smiles at me. "Dont be sorry Jessie. Everything happens for a reason. If you had found me, you never would have met Nick." She says and points over to Nick. I look over at Nick and smile. Then I look over at Joe whos staring at the ground. They are both so amazing.... I love Nick so much. I look back at Annie and smile. These last two days have been so amazing. Ive fallen in love with two amazing guys. Ive been changed into a vampire. I found my little sister... And Ive found a family.
Nick walks over to Annie and smiles at her. "So, your names Annie. Why didnt you tell us that?" Annie smiled and hugged the doll to her chest. "Because Kevin called me Scarlett. I thought when I became a vampire, I got a new name." Nick smiled down and Annie and messed up her hair. "So your Jessie James Little sister. Who wouldve guessed."
Nick took my hand in his and we all went back to the guys' house. All of us, except Joe that his. He said he was going to go for a walk to clear his mind. We all sat down in the living room and immidiately, Kevin wanted to know how I got here. So I told everyone why I had become a vampire hunter, how I had met Nick, and how Joe had changed me into a vampire. I could see that kevin was beginning to grow uneasy as he listened to me speak. "Kevin.. are you ok?" I asked him. He looked over at Nick and then back at me. "Your a made vampire. Just like Annie. All made vampires that were not approved by the council before they were changed... are supposed to be destroyed." My heart sank, and then I looked over at Annie. She was a made vampire, but they had not destroyed her. Nick reached out and touched my hand, he had read my mind again and wanted me to stop being afraid. "We have kept Annie hidden from all the other vampires. And were going to keep you safe to. I promise." I look down at nicks hand that was ontop of mine. I know he ment every word he said. But if theres something Ive learned in my life, it that promises are always broken. And as much as Id like to believe that Nick, Kevin and Joe could keep me safe, I know that they wouldnt stand a chance against the vampire council if they found out about me and Annie....
