jsampras3: Did she just say with a straight face that the "one true church" that is supposedly infallible and has a direct line to god himself shouldn't have ANY special knowledge or insights into morality? What's the point of the church then? She admits that either god doesn't exist, or he does and the church has no special insight into him, or that they do but they're just really incompetent.

nymphrenic: Hitchens argues that the church taught anti-semitism but if race were the issue, then Jesus & the apostles wouldn't have any authority. Ideology was the issue, not race. He then accuses the church of inspiring hatred. How is Hitchens any different for arousing anti-Catholicism than those who aroused "anti-semitism"? Hitchens also has a hand in creating braindead neo-atheists whom feel justified in persecuting the religious. Much blood will be on his hands one day, like is on Nietzsche's.
