11/7/09. 1st and goal at the 2. Ohio State stuffs Penn State four straight times. Unfortunately the officials missed the call on the final attempt.

truthero: though it wasn't one, it was a called TD. what makes it worse is that you could clearly see the ref who signaled it -- the one rushing in willy-nilly from the top --do so in direct reaction to the quick ball reach by Clark, which anyone can see on replay as coming up short. neither he nor anyone else has any idea what happened after that, though it certainly didn't appear that Clark improved his position.

markgobucks82: hahhahaha. can't believe they called that a TD even AFTER reviewing the replay.

truthero: Stafon Johnson may have just gotten the ball over, even though it was clearly short when he landed.

truthero: I can believe it. they'd need to have been reviewing the whole context -- and paying particular attention to what the offending ref responded to AND WHEN-- in order to have overturned this. that's too much to hope for. if it had been correctly called on the field, and no TD had been signaled, that too would have stood.
