SUSTAINABLE - SOLIDARITY - MANDATORY

CLIMATE AGREEMENT NOW!
SUSTAINABLE - SOLIDARITY - MANDATORY

The global temperature rises.
Climate change is felt across the globe.
All humanity is affected by the developments and the bleak prospects.

Denmark's responsibility
Denmark has implemented the Kyoto agreement committed by the year 2012 to reduce its CO2 emissions to 21 percent of emissions in 1990.
But it is so far only reduced by 3.9 percent.
Denmark is one of the biggest polluters in the world, if one includes shipping and aviation in the total CO2 accounts.
It is not least due A.P. Moller-Maersk, the container fleet emits as much CO2 as the entire Danish population.

UN climate summit in Copenhagen must adopt a climate agreement that is sustainable, inclusive and binding.

Sustainable because ...
the global temperature should not rise by more than 2 degrees. A larger increase may result in the UN climate panel - make climate change to run completely out of control.
Therefore, decided a drastic reduction of global CO2 emissions by 2020.

Solidarity because ..
reduction of the planet CO2 emissions is a joint responsibility of all countries of the world, but it is not an equal responsibility to all.
In the industrialized countries live less than 20% of world population.
They are responsible for 75% of global CO2 emissions.
World's poor countries need financial and technological assistance, so their development is done on a sustainable basis.
Developed countries have spent billions on banking packages, wars and rearmament.
Only a fraction of that money could have funded a sustainable settlement of Copenhagen.
The responsibility rests heavily on U.S. and EU.

Binding because ..
industrialized countries talking and talking, but is busy sabotaging the necessary climate agreement.
President Obama has so far only offered to reduce U.S. CO2 emissions by paltry 4 percent.
The EU will only commit to reducing its CO2 emissions by 20 percent half of what is necessary.

Industry giants against a climate agreement
For each member of the U.S. Congress has 4 climate-lobbyists from industry and advocacy organizations.
8 out of 9 climate lobbyists in the United States opposes a climate treaty.

Popular activity is necessary
The Copenhagen Summit must not end with empty words,
a non-binding political declaration of intent and some CO2 exchanges where you can buy and sell hot air.
Market forces are not a part of the solution but part of the problem.
The popular pressure may increase up to and during the summit.

Communist Party believes:
Profit is poison to the environment.
Therefore, we require that Denmark - as one of the rich industrialized countries -
is at the forefront of an economic and energy conversion and live up to the necessary reduction of CO2 emissions Denmark.

People, let us preserve and increase this beauty, not destroy it!"

Gaeilge2000: Uh huh, that'll happen.
Gaeilge2000: That was great editing, but the Global Warming scare tactics are only a figment of movie maker's imaginations and down right lies coming from East Anglia University. I read the texts. I've read the emails from these professors. The lies were formulated by a 'get rich quick' scheme, and the endless d esire to scare college students to death.
