Happy Halloween from Quanser Engineers Video

This is an implementation of Quanser's 3D visualization blocks using a technique called texture baking to achieve a much higher level of detail than is actually present in the mesh as well as precalculating all the shadows and lighting. As you can see from the wire frame view, the pumpkin has the appearance of a might higher level of detail. This is done by using normal maps in Autodesk's 3ds max or Blender to render fine details into the base diffuse texture. Although it is not apparent from this video, this is a real-time animation that you can freely navigate around.
