Tom Avery's Tennis Tips - Preventing Serves Going Long Video

Having checkpoints as you practice your stroke is a very good idea. Whether you're hitting with a pro, a friend, a ball machine, against a wall or practicing your serve, having checkpoints activates the brain to send a signal to the body so the desired movements happen. As you do this continually as in a practice session the brain BURNS the signal onto your hard drive and you no longer have to think about the correct movement. In this short clip Tom Avery is concentrating on 2 KEY Points to make sure his body performs the correct movements. See more FREE video tips at www.tomavery.com and www.averytennis.net

still4syntax: This is a great tip! This is basic physics but somehow i never thought about it! You have no idea how many of my first serves are 4-5 ft too long! Will try this tonight!
BestTenniscom: Thanks, give it a go! All the best, Tom
