Naperville's Healing Fields Video
With 2,009 U.S. flags lined in rows that made their way up Rotary Hill in Naperville, the Healing Field of Honor serves as a memorial to men and women who serve or have served in the U.S. military.
MaryMP45: What a waste of money. Couldn't they find something more useful to do?
TheCollmatt: To get a nice flag and know that your dollars are also going to help Veterans? Hmmm. What do you consider useful? Bet my late father and father-in-law thought they were doing something useful in WWII and Korea.
MaryMP45: My dad was also WWII vet, my little brother Desert Storm. I thought it was just like an artful display. Selling the flags to raise money for veterans in need sounds useful, but unfortunately I did not get that from this story.
TheCollmatt: Thanks for your expljanation of your comment, MaryMP45, in your message to me. Leaving out that this display was set up with some of the dollars financially supporting the Vets is something the video shouldn't have left out. May God Bless our troops, those who honorably protect our country.
