Roland Fantom G6 or Yamaha Motif XS6? Video
Yo, i cant decide what keyboard is best out of the 2 and best for me.
Please leave comments and any other info u have...thanx :) (:
Astrus777: Fantom !
maer1111111: Motif !!!
StudioBerg121: by the way i jast get my motif xs8 today . wish you the same day but with your lovely workstation .
beko7777: definitively Yamaha
JAYEKUSHtv: Hip Hop and R&B you ask? Well Roland hands down! The Fantom G is perfect for that genre of music! You have a plethora of great sounds! Great sampling features! A huge color screen and a GUI that functions just like a DAW and the mouse makes it a breeze to learn! Of caorse you have the drum pads, chord memory, great support! The list just goes on and on! I spent a little less than 3 hours with the G6 and man I had that thing down pact for the most part! The Fantom is very user friendly!
JAYEKUSHtv: I produce in the same genre but i'm all software cause it's just easier that way for me! The Motif xs is dope keyboard make no mistake but it's better to cop the Fantom G and later on get a motif rack to compliment it! There's just so much you can do with the Fantom that you can't with the motif! So when it come down to features the Fantom is next to none! IMHO the ARX sounds surpass the XS!
musicroman: Good question !!!
SoulProduction1000: Thanx man
SoulProduction1000: Thanx for the info.
SoulProduction1000: thanx
sikhbeatz518: if you want a good workstation wid awesome sounds and a kick ass sequencer...go wid a FANTOM!! i have both fantom and motif...ever since i got my fantom my motif has a fat layer of dust on it.
SoulProduction1000: thanx man, i am starting to learn a lot more about the fantom so i might get that. thanx.
CDZONE6: If you are more impressed with looks over function, get the fantom, if you want a workstation that has a great selection of amazing sounds, get the motif. the fantom is all show and no go. The fantom g sounds are the same as the fantom x, with less expansion capabilities. The motif is the most expandable workstation in existence, best drums and acoustic sounds, features over 6000 sound specific arpeggiators , and won the 2009 workstation of the year award. The fantom sounds like reason presets.
YamaKorg: Greetings, I have a Motif ES, Fantom G and Triton Studio. I find the Fantom looks pretty and expensive yet its not as versatile as the older Korg Triton studio. Both the Triton and the Fantom have tons of sounds but only a few actually are useable. Yamaha seems to have a much better sound quality and less sample noise when recording. Cont
YamaKorg: My Personal opinion for you would be to seriously consider a Korg M3 (Yeah it looks a little ridiculous) but it has fantastic sound and it way easier to program than the Yamaha or Roland units.
YamaKorg: Yamaha XS: Best sound, Very Difficult SEQ to learn. Roland Fantom G: Average sound, pretty screen. Difficult SEQ and sampling. Korg M3: Great Sound (almost as good as Yamaha), Super easy to use.
SoulProduction1000: thanx, ill definatley look into the korg m3.
Keyboardplayer: When you like good presets: buy a Motif XS. If you love to program sounds and a very easy to use sequencer which could almost replace a PC with DAW software: buy the Fantom-G
vipersharer: For me its really easy: I have both. Now only Motif XS. Not only the presets, like performances, voices, the samples for them, its usable... Fantom G dont have a single good piano, the sequencer its better, yes, substitute a Daw, NO. So whats the point?. My experience with Fantom G: 1 happyness on purchasing 2 when selled. Motif have a lot of libraries, that solved my problem, with outstanding pianos, guitars, strings, etc. etc...
vipersharer: I purchased FG by the Roland brand, my experience with FX (that its better), and good look... What a deception... Horrible sound (Its beaten by Motif XS fom 5/10), buggy and squared OS (I purchase on the first versions). Be warned. Dont purchase by brand, looks and opinions, TESTE IT! As much you can putting the 2 side by side close your eyes and you will see the difference between them.
poiutrepoiuquattru: Fantom G great keyboard!!!!
jomarcavalcanti: I HAD to buy a motif XS a korg m3 and fantom g.. to decide that nothing beats motif xs.. they are all great keyboards but sound wise yamaha impressed me the most.. also is so much pratical.. the the other 2. .but don't take only opinions.. get your touch to some guitar center or any music shop and check them out.. peace and good luck.
desperado037: motif xs
wonderwaffe: motif xs all the way...check my youtube channel to hear what's possible with this workstation
DefiantDeath666: The Fantom is better for electronic (your) type of music. The Motif is better for acoustic types of music such as rock, country, jazz, etc. So I would recommend the Fantom.
