SPLITING GENDER EXPLAINED Video
well they explained it this the letter
Dear Parent/Guardian.
After careful consideration and consultation with the
Headteacher and South Ayrshire Council, the
Mathematics Department have decided to set six of the
S3 groups by ability and gender. From research
evidence and my own experience in other schools, this
arrangement leads to improved attainment and
engagement for both boys and girls. We are confident
that this change will have a positive impact and we will
closely monitor the progress of your son/daughter to
ensure that they achieve their potential.
There will be three groups of girls and three groups of
boys. Two of each gender groups will follow the
Credit/Intermediate 2 course, the others will follow the
General course with extension into the Intermediate 2
course. These levels of entry have been selected based
on the progress of the pupils from P7 to date.
Should you have any concerns or further questions please
do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours faithfully,
witchywoman2008: I'll bloody contact them. I have a concern. I am concerned that their mental health is impaired. This is the worst idea known to humanity. I am stuck with *ahem* a teacher I am not hugely fond of, and this will affect my grades - considering I cant do maths as it is. I hate our skool. I really do.
