YuGiOh! Duel Monsters: The FanDub Series Episode 79 Part 3 Video
A very scary Halloween episode from the wonderful cast and crew of ProjectYGO! Please give a huge round of applause to Jessica and Ekyo for doing something in two months what the rest of the crew couldn't do in eight.... RELEASE A NEW FREAKING EPISODE! As our second exciting release we are extremely pleased with all of your support and we'd like to thank everyone who donated their time, effort, patience, sanity, blood, sweat, tears, and even money to our cause. We wish everyone a safe and fun filled Trick or Treat and of course.... Happy Halloween! *PS beware of Bakura. He might kill you.*
After an explosive encounter with Malik, Yuugi and his friends finally attain all 6 Puzzle cards, discovering that the Battle City Finals are being held within a half-constructed stadium at the heart of Domino City. Determined to gather all three God Cards in order to restore his other selfs fragmented memory, Yuugi heads towards the final arena, prepared for battle.
Meanwhile, the malevolent spirit of the Millennium Ring discovers that Malik has invaded his hosts conscious. Tempers flare as Malik offers him an ultimatum: unless Bakura finds a way into the Battle City Finals, he can kiss the Millennium Rod goodbye. Annoyed and impatient, the thief sets off into the night, gathering all the materials hell need to face Yuugi Mutou. While doing so, he finds out that a group of duelists has been spotted in the local cemetery
ProjectYGO: Ghost and his friends were sent to hell (they weren't saved). Mai was sealed in an hourglass; Yami Malik announced that if he was defeated within 24 hours, then he would let her go. Bakura was eaten by the darkness; his body was literally gone. Jounouchi was rendered brain dead. Malik was trapped in a crystal pyramid.
gfujdfjki: is that a dude or girl that dueled Ghost Kosaka?
GoldenOtaku: Great job! All voices were once again spot on! I particularly like AllyKatAVR as Ryou & Ryou Bakura, and I also thought that NastyPl0t pulled off a great Jonouchi!
rslrandy: dude w/a girl's voice
GreatGoatRebellion: I loved that annotation after Bakura beat them. I loved this episode too, it's my favorite episode in the series (cause I'm just a Bakura fangirl like that, even though I like Ryou better than YamiBakura) ^-^ The only thing I didn't really love was that the sound effects were a bit loud. They didn't really bother me too much, though, and the rest of the episode made up for it. :D
IsaacTales2: Very nice work you guys. Hmm...Ectoplasmer was a Field Spell in the original version...how strange. Makes sense to why he could play it in the Field Slot, but still very strange.
SylvaSerbaayuu: That was awesome! Seriously, there's gotta be some name for this other than "Fandub", 'cause that doesn't do the work justice.
cha05kn1ght: soooo........are there more episodes of this other then episode 1 and 79 that are completed?
chazdoit: Excellent work
SonPan1: DIdnt Jou go into a coma?
HCSR2: I'm in love with Bakura's voice.
DarkPrince231: O_o Damn I mean Thats is Much Better! 4kids Fuck That Good Anime But Wow This is Very scary
gokudabomb1: so how could bakura come back from being eaten?
welme23: The voices just sound better and better. :D
SuperMerlin100: What?
SuperMerlin100: He almost died in the japanese version.
megadisneyfan2: all the voices r impressive
TheTrainTicket: Me too!
bwahahachick: While I like this dub very much, I don't think it has any real individuality. A dub should be able to stand by itself, but this just feels like a copycat of the Japanese version, strangely. What I'm saying is, there needs to be more distinction. But overall, it's pretty good.
nitemaric: its just the japanese lines. done by lk and friends
SebastionEnvi: how is a dub supposed to be different? you can't just magically make a different story...well you can't I am sure, but it wouldn't be very good.
bwahahachick: I obviously don't mean a different story. It should have its own identity. This is just "let's get voices that sound as close to the Jap version as possible". Creative license goes a long way.
ProjectYGO: Well, I suppose you could watch both dubs of Cowboy Bebop and see what we're striving to be but when creative license is such a broad term, it's literally impossible to convince everyone that what you're doing fits that category. Certainly we could make YuGiOh! about Yuugi's quest to find and catch all of the Duel Monsters and become the greatest Pokemon Trai-I mean Duelist ever and label it as creative license and have it be a legitimate claim despite how full of bullsh*t the concept is.
bwahahachick: Well, that previous comment I made above was sort of directed at licensed dubs, but I do know there's no way to for you all please everyone. Despite what I've said, I do like what you guys have done here. I'd watch it over 4kids any day. And it will only get better the more episodes are released.
TheViolentTomboy: Wait...what distinction? Like never saying die or something? Don't we WANT dubs to be as similar to the original as much as possible?
