You can't expect no organization to make successful professionals of everybody, even less when their pool of candidates includes all kinds of people. I know people that got out of the Navy with master degrees, certifications and years of experience that got them great jobs... tell me what other organization will provide you all that

Eddian18: while only requiring a H.S. degree. The Navy is what you make of it... I'm making a college degree while staying debt-free, professional experience in information systems and navy-paid IT certifications.... I could have easily done it in the outside, however, my experiences in the Navy and what I have learned in communications and IT surpasses that of my friends currently going through Computer Engineering programs in colleges and universities. I am extensively more prepared than them + paid.

snakestomper: ok my bad,they were known as special boats in the 80's and early 90's when I was in college nrotc (I took the marine option) ,and I agree they are't marines,though the WWII fighter in the beginning of the commercial,is a marine fighter from VMF(N)-533 operating off a navy carrier,but I'm not sure which one
