Iraq: al-Qaeda bombings kill almost 100 as multiple targets hit in Baghdad.
Almost 100 people have been killed and 500 were wounded in co-ordinated al-Qaeda bomb and mortar blasts across Baghdad, the deadliest attack since the US army pulled out of Iraq's major cities.
Al-Qaeda and people loyal to the late former leader Saddam Hussein were responsible for todays assaults, President Jalal Talabani said in an e-mailed statement.

When Israel comes in action after her civilians being attacked for several times, the whole world is pointing fingers. The leftists gladly talk about "childkillers" but it was Hamas that was sheltering in schools with their rockets. It was Hamas that filled Hospitals and Zoos with explosives. And the media kept that information back, that's sick!
beancube2008: For me, I would immediately order US troops retreat and enter Israel to test if those warriors will follow. If they don't, US army will stay there and tear down all wall around invated settlements. If they come along, I'll establish a field away from civilians for a real war for both Sunny and Shia. I will declare a prize for the winner to name a new god for themselves, rewrite and rename the holy book for no distinction about ethnicity or region.
