grim15: Your right man....i can watch any gory thing put on film...but when i watched cannibal holocaust and saw them kill those animals it made me sick to my stomach.
deebz21: Like slaughter house...
adamxbeck: Other then Cannibal Holocaust, what movies are you referring to? That's the only movie I can think of that ever did anything like that. Also if you're so much against it then why did you pay the director $20 for his autograph at HorrorHound Weekend? LoL
endlessgreg: I'm actually a vegetarian myself, but I love trashy Italian and Asian films, so I'm subjected to animal slaughter/torture pretty often watching movies lol. I am disturbed by the content, a lot, but I still find other things in films like Cannibal Holocaust, Cannibal Ferox, Mountain of the Cannibal God, Boxer's Omen, Amazonia, etc, to like. With the DVDs of Ferox and Holocaust released by Grindhouse, you have the option of watching the films with the animal slaughter scenes omitted.
evolutionsolutionco: completely agree with you my friend. Animals are just as sensitive and have feelings just as humans. It's sad that most people have lost touch with that.
coughcool3: I agree I watch horror for entertainment . I tell people I can handle a horror movie because it isn' t real. A lot of people don't like Torture Porn. Because it is up close make believe torture of someone.Killing animals for a movie is the same a Micheal Vick and Dog fights. Last I knew dog fighting is illegal in I think 48 of 50 states. I just see nothing good coming from killing animals for a movie.
xichthusx: I mentioned Faces of Death there is also Traces of Death. I gave him a poster to sign from his airplane disaster movie he filmed if you have to know. On top of ALL that he has said that he regrets what he did and wishes he never did so. So I can forgive the man. Unlike you who can't wait to jump at any chance to make others look foolish or try to make them out to be liars. I bet you have a little diary so you can write down what everyone says so later you can go back and make them look stupid.
xichthusx: I know! It makes me think a lot of people are pretty big in looking the other way when they throw Vick under the bus for doing waht he did. However, they pop in Cannibal Holocaust that night!!
xichthusx: Glad you do!
MADPUPPETDEATH: I don't see the killings as fun and I don't think they should be killed for entertainment purposes. I do love Cannibal Holocaust and I just feel like I'm in the jungle with these people and they are killing the animals for food. I know, in Cannibal Holocaust the animals were supposedly killed for food, BUT...I think Deodato did what he wanted. The commentary on the dvd is VERY informative and you can watch that movie edited. I think its pure curiosity with the 'death' films. I watched a...
MADPUPPETDEATH: video on embalming and wish I never had! Morbid curiosity. Great video man!
adamxbeck: There's only one scene in Faces of Death where an animal gets killed which is "the monkey scene" which is also totally fake. No animal was actually killed in that...and I don't recall there being any animal killings in Traces of Death either. The only movie I can think of that did this is 'Cannibal Holocaust'. If you didn't know, the animals killed in that movie were going to be killed anyway for food...they just decided to film it to disturb people.
adamxbeck: and I don't care if you did have him sign a poster for a different movie...you were all for paying the director of Cannibal Holocaust $20 for his autograph. If you are that against animal killings and a movie he did, I'm not sure why you would support the guy, even if he did say he regrets it now.
xichthusx: Also featured are the actual on-camera deaths of a variety of animals, including seals being clubbed to death and animals being killed on the slaughterhouse line. It then goes to footage of animal experiments with a grizzly scene of a live pig being burned alive with a torcch
xichthusx: Honestly, I could care less what you think dude. The man asked for forgivness and he said he made a mistake. So I have no problem giving him my money. Now scurry back and write some more stuff down in your little diary for future reference.
xichthusx: Thanks, Lori! Like I said it is not a personal attack on anyone. Just my views. I know people dig this stuff and that is their right. Glad you can see it from both sides!!!
adamxbeck: I'm not trying to piss you off man. I'm just stating that the only movie I can think of with real animal killings is 'Cannibal Holocaust' which came out nearly 30 years ago...Traces of Death isn't a movie, it's just raw video footage of people getting killed. People who enjoy that are royally fucked up. I just thought this rant was weird because you make it sound like a "trend" when it's really only one film...and since you like Deodato enough to get his sig I'm not sure what the problem is.
Gutmunchers: Off the top of my head Mountain of the Cannibal God has some animal killings in it, and of course some of the mondo moives are kind of nasty. Though I have to kind of agree with Adam on it not really being a trend, though I'm sure there are a few movies in my collection that do include them. For the record I'm one of the guys at the site that Jason was referring to liking Cannibal Holocaust. -John
savini1979: I don't like animal killing in films , it seemed to be the trend in the late 70s early 80s cannibal films like C Holocaust & C Ferox but i don't think they would get away with that today.
xichthusx: I do not think I was saying it was a trend. I was just saying I do not understand why people watch these movies. I know it is only a handful of films that do this anyway. However, it is just my opinion.
jaythestingray: I totally agree man. I think most sane people would also.
