Part 7 of 7 - Captain Trevor Yurista Combat Conditioning Room Dedication Video

Col Willard A. Buhl Commanding Officer, Fifth Marine Regiment, along with the Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group honored Captain Trevor Yurista at the Combat Conditioning Room Flag Dedication Ceremony at Camp Pendleton. Other distinguished speakers included Lt. Colonel Charles Burk of the 5th Marines; DP 5th Marine Support Group Director, John Hicks; and DP 5th Marine Support Group President, Captain Pete Hammer (retired).

This is the 7th of 7 videos taken in order at this dedication ceremony.

Captain Yurista was the first of the 5th Marines to be Killed In Action in Afghanistan. He, up until his untimely passing, was one of 145 Marines who volunteered to reinforce the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines who were In-Theater and are based out of 29 Palms.

Upon this week, the 1st anniversary of his death on Oct 27, 2008, we gathered together to remember the dedication and heroism of a fine Marine warrior and true friend of the Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group.

On this occasion, we officially dedicated the donation of weights to the now named Captain Trevor Yurista Combat Fitness Center by the Yurista/Sukunda families. This facility was an inspiration and dream of Trevor's.

A picture and plaque was placed in the Facility to remember and honor this brave warrior, Captain Trevor Yurista.
