Goodbye, McDonagh's... Video

12 carnivals in 6 counties, and it all ended here. On September 25, 2009, I watched as the rides' lights went off, and for me, it was for the last time for the 2009 carnival season.

Hope to see McDonagh's again in 2010!

EvolutionRider88: Time for winter break. Usually carnival companies and independent owners refurbish their rides during the winter and getting them ready for a new season. Some companies also host winter carnivals before the refurbishment begins.
cloudeleven: When I was 22 I was standing in line at the state fair to ride the Larson Hi-Roller, and a teenage girl said to me "aren't you too old to be riding rides?" I was kind of shocked. How can you be too old to ride rides? Can you be too old to ride rides?
ThrillseekerType: I didn't ride the first Ferris Wheel until I was 18. I didn't get on the Alpine Bobs until I was 21. I didn't get on any major high ride until three years ago. From the Thrillseeker's perspective: The only thing that should be a factor is if you are able to withstand the forces.
cloudeleven: Interesting. Why did you wait so long to start riding the big rides? Were you scared of them as a kid?
ThrillseekerType: You're going to laugh, but I was scared of them as of 6 years ago. I was scared of most of those rides until I rode the Orbiter in 2007.
