Pausch Bridge Light Show Video

The Randy Pausch Memorial Bridge features more than 7,000 programmable (and environmentally friendly) LED lights. The light show was created by Christopher Popowich and Cindy Limauro, professor of lighting design in the School of Drama. The sequences are designed to represent six different visual metaphors from Randys book:

Fun with Crayons
• Outer Space
• Make the Most of Each Day
• Be the First Penguin
• The Elevator in Randys Room
• Disney and the Circus

The lighting runs for 15 minutes before repeating on a continuous loop In this video, the show is 500% the normal speed.

farhmoha: What a great guy, such an inspiration.
geminibon: WoW to both. And so blessed to be a part of this all.Even standing on the side lines.I feel honored.
buyaonihaha: wowowwowow when what this?!
thibaulthalpern: Hmm....the bridge itself doesn't look very artistic or catchy. Kinda...blah. But it's good to honour Randy Pausch.
Hope4ACure21: Just beautiful :) a fitting tribute for such a wonderful soul.
pulipuli777: nice colors, etc., but I am sorry to say that the bridge structure itself is not very imaginative (without knowing the constraints the designers and engineers had)
imPerrenial: I didn't know about the bridge. What a beautiful concept and wonderful manifestation of his spirit. Nice work. Congratulations! Just a thought, perhaps a bit odd to put it here, but here goes - Oprah Winfrey was deeply touched by Professor Pausch and I wonder what she'd think about being part of a CMU event (maybe the commencement?) as a follow-up to "Last Lecture" and tie-in to the 25th and final year of her show. Think of the possibilities!
Allaneop: -10 To have a Mickey Mouse type display for such a splendid person as Prof Rausch is very disappointing. As a '49 CIT graduate I am thoroughly disgusted!!!
Megamediaplex: dot com
AmberSexiii: looking for a man that would give me some experience.
sesyyammber: i am really honny today! Anybody is bored too and want to msg meh
geilcourt: Agreed, but the concept's great! Randy would've appreciated it, God rest his soul!
