bonnie43uk: Interesting fact about the pelican : In the 14th century, pelicans were used by monks to carry bibles from one monastary to another, ..it would be attached to thier undercarraige by means of twine. Any monk found eating pelican meat would be tortured by Abbots. All this information can be found in a new book "Holy Pelican" by J. W. Henshaw. ..published by Penguin.
