More development in Trincomalee 26-10-09 Video

Massive development is taking place under the Mahinda Chintana 10-year development plan.
Work on another mega development project is being carried out in Trincomalee. Many of the projects in the industrial sector have been planned under the Mahinda Chintana with the aim of eliminating difficulties in access to credit facilities. Problems related to alleviating poverty and unemployment and regional shortcomings are planned to be resolved with the aim of achieving economic growth. The goal of the special industrial park is to convert Trincomalee into a strong industrial foundation to achieve economic prosperity in the Eastern Province as well as in the entire country making optimum use of local resources. Infrastructure development is in place while activities related to the first stage have kicked off. The main goal is to establish five industries under the first stage.
