Here's smallworldfilm's bread
http://www.cookingfordads.net/joansappleciderbread.jpg

This is a fun bread to make in the fall when all the apples are coming in. It mixes both the sweet and the savory.
Try it and take a pic and send it to me if you get the chance.

KWarren7: Send me some, please?
hectorste1: awesome
angotchi: Did you wash your hands after holding that axe? :] heehee. We don't have four seasons here in the Philippines but I think I'm gonna try this one. Looks fairly easy. What kind of yeast is that btw? :]
ph0xdizzle: first time you didnt make a weird face when you ate what you cooked lol
curlifries18: hahaha yeast farts hahaha
turnthepage: yeast farts....AHAHHAHAHAHA those look REAALLLY good. i like the pairing of apples and ham so that might go good :) (and next time you make chocolate wear a WHITE shirt) hehe
KyleWPeterson: When cooking this I'd recommend using bread flour instead of all-purpose.
SmallWorldFilms: Are the measurements you gave accurate? That doesn't look like 1 1/2 cups apple cider. I tried the recipe and the dough just doesn't look the same. I hope it works out.
cookingfordads: @SmallWorldFilms They are, 1 1/2 cups apple cider, 3 cups flour, 1/2 sp salt, 1 sp sugar 1 sp yeast. take a pic of yours and send it to me either way.
cookingfordads: @KyleWPeterson yes, bread flour is best, that's what I used.
KlaxonCow: Looks delicious. One thing, Rob. The Internet is international, so maybe you could also give all the measurements in metric as well. My oven only has Celsius marked on it and no Fahrenheit. That's probably true for most people outside of North America.
KlaxonCow: p.s. Yeast farts, eh? Now, that's science. ;-)
SmallWorldFilms: Thank you so much. I am at work now, and my dough is busy growing. I'll bake it tonight. The yeast looked ecstatic! Hopefully It will turn out well. I'll send you a photo.
psych0tic855: baking ON THE EDGE
topcat4eva: the 8min went by so quickly, great vid
SmallWorldFilms: Well, it's finished! I didn't have all the ingredients, so I substituted garlic powder, celery salt and sharp Cheddar for the final step. I really liked it! I have the photo ready and will send ASAP.
blueberrywine69: wife says "yummy"
flagyou: its plan ahead not "plan a head" lol
izraqthedark: Does the cider taste remain in the bread?
cookingfordads: @izraqthedark a little, but not so much, it's more of just a moist bread with a lot of taste. try it and send me a picture
cookingfordads: @SmallWorldFilms so awesome. thanks for the pic, I linked it in the description
SmallWorldFilms: @cookingfordads Thank you! Only problem is that the bread didn't survive the night. My son inhaled it. I put some away for friends, who really liked it also.
