5.45 AR15 Dirt Test Video
AR-15 in 5.45x39 caliber was left with ejection port cover open. Dirt was poured on open ejection port. Magazines were buried as well. 28 rounds per magazine x 4 magazines = 112 rounds fired. 0 malfunctions.
Army1stSgt: Well done, that 5.45x39 on the AR platform runs real good.
TheRiflemanChannel: Great vid man, why you went with 5.45 though ??
97SVTVERT: 100% reliable, accurate to 600 yards, ammunition cost 50% of 5.56.
gfr28D: what optic is that?
whoscaleb: Awesome, makes me want to swap out my 5.56 upper for a 5.45. Optic looks like an Aimpoint CompM2/ML2
neo19209: its an aimpoint red dot sight
doodahead1: Is that an S&W upper?
fffreddie: Well, looks like more and more the gas piston fad only offers a cleaner weapon and a bolt you can pull out in your hand to impress others. Since I'm not lazy and don't mind cleaning my rifle and I don't bother to see if the bolt is hot I'll stick with Eugene Stoners superior design.
snapcane: Shhh...Don't let the secret out.
UBCSWraith: can you run a regular .223/5.56x45mm magazine with the 5.45 round, or do you really HAVE to use the special magazines? I've heard both stories. I'd really like to use a Pmag!
ComeAndSeevX: Oh, wow. I think I'm in love. I have a Saiga in 5.45x39 with about 1,000 rounds. I could just get an AR-15 in 5.45x39 and save the hassle. :P
