money and goals Video
hypocrisy is poison for the soul
MuddyTonic: "Individuate before becoming a productive member of society" Excellently articulated.
MikeTriesTruth: Great video man. This is something that is currently puzzling me too, how to live a happy live and spend my time enjoying it whilst making a living and actually being able to support a family someday, etc. I honestly have no idea what I wanna do , I just turned 25 and didn't go to college just because I had zero passion or interest for a 9 to 5 so the degree to me wasn't worth it, maybe a horrible decision, but I just am an open book and have no idea, hopefully I get one soon, cheers!
MikeTriesTruth: Also, haven't heard any of your music or know that you even were a musician , Ill def check the stuff out, hopefully you can get by, how you paying day billz in your life now ?
Luke12000: I do labour jobs, and i recently took my music down, but I will put it back up
anonforuz: its true, kinda a reason i upload music. Give stuff to people free and eventually, once they are attached to it, they will buy it. I have downloaded albums free, then later buy the Cd even though i already had it. to show my appreciation for their efforts. if you make an album I would be very interested to hear it.
MikeTriesTruth: Yeh, best of luck, ... can't wait to hear ur stuff.
freedominsomalia: u r an awesome youtuber. destroy people's corrupt ideas... a good epitome
baller1069: Money - a thing I struggle greatly with. I think the whole "doing what you love" concept is just modern day nonsense. It has come from older generations who have suffered greatly in life, primarily because they hated their work. Their solution to life's sorrows is to "do what you love." There is a very large problem with this concept. Not everyone can do what they love. Menial tasks need to be accomplished as long as we stay in our current form.
baller1069: That's why I don't think its about doing what you love. Doing what you love is almost a scarce resource because everyone desires to attain it in their mind. However, there are countless jobs that no human being could possibly love, so if I'm in a job doing what I love, I'm inflicted suffering on someone because he could be in my position, but instead I have taken his place and he is cleaning toilets (or some other laborious/menial task).
baller1069: I think its just about doing work but in a modern day environment that isn't full of corruption, power games, and people trying to get ahead ( "get more for themselves"). Our society must transcend these purely materialistic desires and re-evaluate how we should spend our time on earth. If I only had to work 10 hours per week I would be fine cleaning toilets. We as a society work very hard to feed our materialist desires.
baller1069: If everyone curbed their materialistic desires, was wiser about how and what they consumed - the economy would outright collapse. In this environment working roles would drastically change and people would likely become more skillful. Maybe the work week would be 2 days because that is all the production that would be needed to feed our materialistic desires.
RealEros1: lol you could always clean your own toliet :) you dont need someone to do it
baller1069: haha - true.
ConstrainedNoMore: sing killers songs and I'll build you a huge stone monolith! : D
5jeanbittersweet: So do it, yes, I want to buy it! I think you can have very high, idealistic goals but also need to have stepping stone goals to get there. This is a special time for you,the next 6yrs..like a foundation,...you can live with dissapointment..really..."life is what happensw etc" JL, but to never try..true tradgedy.. Do as much as you can that you would like. I like my job, it's very relaxing and calm, but I could do more. Keep telling us your theories..and economics..I'm uber stupid about those.
dustsky: Luke, I marathon-watched most of your videos... You seem to me --and forgive me if I'm wrong-- a bit too concerned with who's wrong and who's right, and all this debating/arguing... Free yourself, for it's really all you can do, for yourself and the rest of the world. Let your art/creativity reflect this! If you can do this, I'll buy your music, in fact, I'll even ask you how can I have what you have... and so, you won't have to argue anymore, but share from your abundance.
melquideses: Who dares to jump, even if he falls, wins, because he knows that there is nothing to be afraid of, so he keeps on jumping and rising again in a new higher step. If we are consistent and love what we do, we'll always get what we want... Everything we put love into is a success in itself already. I wish you a successful career!
Anon1696: 1:00 is me.
Michael7893: ever think of going into radio?
jrnesbit: I think a lot of people don't honestly know what they like to do. Like I know alot of people who come to work just because they are bored. On the other hand, I only want to come to work if i need money. I decided to make a sacrifice and go through and get a college degree and a career so i could make enough money and have a flexible job to where I would be able to live comfortably even while working part time and be able to travel while working.
seraphimra: Now now, dear chap! That's some fine prattling! Indeed refreshing and truly post modern view, in Darwinian sense. You see this folks? Doing what you love AND surviving...sounds like Heaven, huh? We can manifest a physical reality where each one does and is compensated, from birth to death, while doing what they love; or at the very least a generous amount of precious time to individualize. Evolution is so clear. Can you see it Luke, beyond all those vile philosophies?Extraordinary aren't we?
MarlenVargasDelRazo: This video is nothing but self indulgent rant that ends up with a point of self interest - it's fascinating to see his tactics, this is the nature of man - manipulation, saying to others that which they want to hear and you'll have them at your feet - this is WHY we are living in this world -unacceptable and disgusting.
seraphimra: I suppose in a...practical or cynical sense you could be correct. But you are assuming intent of the giver, which given his coterie of videos, seems to be of people doing what they love and sharing it with the world and being a balanced being; practical and idealistic. Why pass such judgement when ill intent simply isn't? No doubt we have all accepted and allowed atrocities to transpire and continue. However, there are those who are doing what they love altruistically!
seraphimra: This must count for something, otherwise you are merely condemning others as villainous, regardless of empirical fact: being that his videos have assisted me in growth personally, which is beneficial; thus, not disgusting. Acceptance is an ability that must be excercise- Cleanse the doors of perception. Is this truly unacceptable? Or just for you? 'It is easier to find a thousand faults in others, than too willfully find one in thyself.'
lovepeace2you: you're on the right track... just keep doing your stuff
