devilsonlychild: Thank u. that was very helpful.
caesarradhi: just tell me which software you have used to take the pretty and clear video to you desktop.
rtbuell2004: I use Debut Video Capture Software by NCH Software.
jameswx09: I can create an Iso of my Vista and install it on my Xp?
jameswx09: Kinda like how you do with Ubuntu download the iso and burn it to a disk
rtbuell2004: I am assuming this a different computer? If it is, it might not work. I think you will get into licensing issues, the same activation code will be found on multiple computers. Also, on your computer that has vista, unless they are identical, they will have different drivers installed. You can try it, but I doubt it will work. If I didn't understand the question correctly, let me know.
d3f4c3d: get software to burn media on lowest speeds - 2x or even lower. that gives burned media more redundancy again scratches
BellusDePorko: Upon investigation, I dont see all the fascination over ISO images. Get a copy of WinRAR and Burnatonce, files can be stored on hard drive, CD, or DVD in a compressed format. WinRAR places a list of commands on the Context menu and can unpack quite a variety of formats including ISO images. You just right-click an item and the WinRAR commands appear. It would seem to me that backing up ones folders would be better suited for .RAR files.
77DJG: Excellent tutorial really clear and well explained
ceventus: I am not very computer literate and this is a bit new to me. If I have a hard drive failure or buy a new hard drive, which means I won't be able to restore from my recovery disc, will this disc install my OS? I have tried messing around with VirtualBox using methods that I got from other videos and none work. I know my recovery disc will give me a page with system recovery options like system restore, complete pc restore, etc... will this work there? What is the image that will work there?
IStickyI: can i backup the OS on a 4 GB DVD disc?
rtbuell2004: If you purchased the software, then you could back up to discs. Sadly with the free version you can not, you can only back up to an external or another internal hard drive.
IStickyI: thx, but i wanted to know if i could back up my vista OS on my netbook to use on other pcs (the netbook came with vista on it but no backup CD becuase it doesnt have a disc drive, but i have a external one for it.)
jamag121: well explained video good work man thanks
71127695: cool vid

harrison359: thank you VERY much for a great video / tutorial..also..thanks for not putting on some musical tune like some of these other bozo's do.
