Lea McGowan Solo "Remember the Future" Video

This piece was conceived while I was a student at The University of Tampa. During the creation process the horrible massacre of Virginia Tech students occurred, which shaped the ending of this ballet. A dance that began as an expression of self and my story transformed into a celebration of the lives of those students. I mourned for these students, my own peers, whose futures were taken abruptly away. Yet I also challenged myself to fight for their memory, embody their spirit, and banish fear.
