thecandidate0607: I am from Illinois, although I thought it would have been...neat for lack of a better word to have the olympics so close. I honestly didnt give a shit whether Chicago got it or not. I honestly thought it would have been time better spent working to help our troops in afghanistan. It seems like hes simply putting them on the backburner while he tends to his agenda.

thecandidate0607: I wouldnt generalize Illinois politics being that way, just Chicago. Most urban areas almost always vote democratic and in a state of 18 million the chicagoland area has 12 million people so any election is going to swing democratic as long as the rest of the state is voting against chicago. In fact, economically thats all illinois is, chicago. All the jobs, money and industry go there and the rest of the state remains largely undeveloped.
