Inizio con il dire che continuo ad avere problemi cognitivi e che ho passato l'intera giornata a fare video ea cercare di esprimere cio`che avevo dentro di me e, dopo averne fatto uno in cui parlavo dei nuovi casi di PML per coloro che prendono Tysabri come me, sono venuta a conoscenza di nuovi casi di questa rara infezione celebrale per cui ho dovuto rifare tutto per l'ennesima volta! Purtroppo, i casi di PML sono saliti a 42 e 9 sono coloro che sono morti a causa di questa infezione ea causa di questa medicina. E`molto difficile per me prendere Tysabri ma questa medicina e`stata lunica che mi ha permesso (insieme alle alte dosi di Vitamina D e la terapia cranio sacrale) di rallentare il corso della mia malattia. In this video I mention the latest cases of Tysabri (we are up to 42 cases and 9 deaths caused by PML) and I talk about CCSVI and the Liberation procedure that is being done at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC. Things are not moving fast enough, but they are moving and I think that its important to keep hopeful and to keep informed. While Tysabri is helping me move better, I can say that my cognition is not improving at all and I continue to have cognitive issues. I do believe that the combination of Tysabri, the high dose of Vitamin D and the cranial sacral therapy that I do every two weeks is the right combination of therapies for me at the moment. I do dream of the day when I won't have to take Tysabri any more and I will be able to get the Liberation treatment! G'day everyone. Quick update on how I am feeling 7 days after having both jugular veins ballooned. I make some comments about perceived improvements. In general I am feeling higher energy levels, less neck stiffness, green seems so much more... green and I feel like my voice is stronger. From here I have a follow up with Prof T and then see my Neuro in six weeks for regular check up. I am staying on Tysabri for time being... but really I would love to come off everything and just see what MS is doing to my body without treatment. Given I have had 4 relapses that required methylpred infusions over last 18 months I think the main measure for me will be whether I have any more relapses in the short term. Thanks to everyone for comments and messages of encouragement. I am continuing to lobby for research into the link between venous obstruction and MS along with many many other people who are doing a wonderful work. Kerri :o)
