turntablism Videos

This is my first attempt to making a movie with my new Canon EOS 7D. I used a Carl Zeiss 58/2 MF and a Tamron 17-50/2.8 AF. It's shot at 1080p with 25 frames per second. Shutter speed throughout the movie is 1/50s. The scene was lit by a Falcon Eyes softbox modeling light. I'm a beginner, so comments and criticism is more than welcome. The receiver is a vintage Marantz 4230 Quadradial. The turntable is a Marantz Model 6150, and also vintage.

This is the Soundesign stereo cassette player/turntable that I bought at the thrift store not too long ago complete with one fully working cassette player an AM/FM tuner, and a turntable with a possibly bad motor. Here I demonstrate what garbage the second cassette player is. The song is "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen. Stay tuned for turntable demonstration!

for spares from e-bay, a TEAC A2300SD (Dolby) reel-to-reel recorder bought in 1979 and a pair of old Celestion Ditton 44's (MK1's), again bought from e-bay. The turntable headshell is by ADC and the cartridge is an Ortofon FF15EII. Two power output transistors and one new drive belt later (for the receiver and the turntable) and it's all working fine.
