Large surf at the Bay finds fewer takers this day; i shot HD video for 90 minutes, and not many were actually dropping in, tho you couldn't tell that from this short video. i shot great footage Thanksgiving morning as well, but couldn't upload it so far cause of a copyright issue with a song. there is one wipeout clip in this video that was shot on another earlier day; it was good, so it appears at the end... 2009 Eddie Aikau Surfing Invitational Closing Ceremony
The 2009 Eddie Aikau Big Wave Surfing Competition Closing Ceremony (8th in 25 or so years). The competition and waves were epic. Greg Long placed 1st winning $55K, Kelly Slater 2nd with $10K, Sonny Garcia 3rd with $5K, Bruce Irons 4rd with $3K, Ramon Navarro 5th with $2K and also the monster drop champ with another $10K.
