Amtrak eastbound on main track 1 to run around a stopped coal train on track 2 near Somonauk. Back to the BNSF's Mendota sub for an early afternoon catch of the Southwest Chief passing through Earlville. I put some miles on the car today driving back and forth between the two rail lines. BNSF traveling over Somer's St. and 23rd St. Crossings in Fremont. Also, the train continues south and crosses over UP's main east/west lines. Sorry but the tripod kept falling off it's platform in my car. I'm going to go back to filming during the day.
