A very simplified locomotive steam piston rig in Maya, driven with a single "speed" attribute. A few joints, IK-handle, animation constraints and expressions to make this scene. The piston is moving according to a sinus curve pattern, but the transfer of motion is not correct on the wheels as it is now.
