So recently a strange sampler surfaced on the LOTP Forums. According to the eBay seller it was a rare disk from the parlophone vaults which was a sampler for FBC! This was track 7 on the sampler. This is however 18 months old and since then "Best In The Class" has been rearranged and re-recorded so this is another demo. An inbetweener before FBC but after all the other releases.

This is my first try using the spd-s sampler. This is the setup: pad 1 - gretsch kick pad 2 - 18" crash pad 3 - A closed hat B half open hat pad 4 - horn hit pad 5 - organ riff pad 6 - leedy snare pad 7 - mellow organ riff pad 8 - sax solo riff 1 pad 9 - sax solo riff 2 I took the loop samples from Mulatu Astatke - Yegelle Tezeta. The loops are kind of rough, I didn't really trim them up perfectly, but you get the idea of what this thing can do.

In my attempt to take one of the best features of the M-207 and make it look kinda dull, I present you with my first demo video of the Stanton M-207 DJ mixer. Yes, I know that a nice sound recording would really make this better, but hey I'm busy. the sampler is nice for scratch djs and dance too. I'll be putting some annotations on tomorrow to explain what is going on. For now, just watch as the music keeps playing after I stop the record. And that's real vinyl too(Erica Badu)...
