I didn't watch this as 9:30 was way past my bedtime. My memories are from the daytime reruns later . Those reruns tended to skip the earliest episodes so for me it's a little jarring to see Mr. French treat Buffy the way he does in this promo. These promos were done so affiliates could air them intact as part of a hour long preview special (with the station manager or some station personality as the host) or they could break them up and air them separately.
