Recorded on May 23, 2009 at Red Eagle Sound - I kept the camera angle this way because I think it looks kind of cool, and it's also easier for the viewer to see what my hands are doing. The Clavinet, in many ways, is similiar to a harpsichord, but it is mostly known as a titan of funk (especially when you hook it up to a wah - wah pedal).

This is a rewriting of Menuet II from Partita BWV 825. The main constraint is to have in each part 21 notes played by left hand and 38 by right hand. As the whole Partita seems to follow these numbers 21 and 38 (BA and CH), with 21 bars for Praeludium and 38 for Allemande coming next, but 38 is too the average number of bars of the 6 dances, with a striking pattern : 1 and 4 : 38 + 38 bars = 2 x 38 2 and 5 : 60 + 16 bars = 2 x 38 3 and 6 : 28 + 48 bars = 2 x 38 The score is there, with ...
