Booktime, the free books programme for reception-age children, and Leicester Library Services held a celebration this October at the Brite Centre. To celebrate the gifting of more than 700000 book packs for 4-5 year olds, a special event was held with poet Pauline Stewart. Pauline performed some of her poems and got all the children and parents joining in, helping to encourage families to enjoy sharing books together.
