2D Finite Element model created in PZFlex. 1-3 piezocomposite (with backing and matching) mounted on a 15 degree rexolite wedge and is focussed to 2.5mm side drilled hole in a steel block. Model is driven with a single pulse and all wave conversions/reflections are shown. Computation time on a reasonable desktop is less than 6hrs.
