of all I actually tried riding it at spots with rocks. My bike is quite noisy from the front and rear brakes now. Rear brake pads: Red Plazmatic I bought a few years ago and another clear compound I cut up and put together myself. Front brake pads: Clear trials brake pad and 1 regular mountain bike pad; 2 trial pads = too much lockup, 2 mountain bike pads = not enough lockup. 1 of each pad gives a better compromise between those 2 extremes.
