i went out today and i gave the kickstart a couple moves with my hand and i noticed it didnt have that high compression as last time, so what is the deal, it wont start as usual so i need help with it

this is my murray weed eater that my grandpa gave to me for my new house i had some problems with it like the throttle cable and i think the gas is stale and has water in it which is probably why it doesnt stay running it has a briggs and stratton 6 horse down shaft on it
