The largest typhoon in Taiwan's recorded history destroyed the village of Hsiao Lin last year, and only half of those who lived in the remote community survived the mudslides. Their struggles continue several months on, with their desire to maintain their cultural identity pitting them against the government. Al Jazeera's Steve Chao reports.
